KATHMANDU / Nepal Communist Party has demanded to stop the repression of the state on the citizens who are protesting against the naming of Koshi Province and resolve the problem by negotiating with the protesting forces.General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Biplav issued a press statement on Wednesday and requested the government to hold talks to stop the repression as two people were seriously injured and dozens of others were injured when they opened fire on the protestors at Damak in Jhapa on 26 Baisakh.
In the press statement issued by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Biplav, against the repression in Damak, it has been mentioned that while the citizens have the right to make demands and listen to the voices of the citizens, it is the state’s responsibility to negotiate with the agitators to stop the repression.
Similarly, in the speech, even though federalism in Nepal has not come to the federalism of the real people, naming Limbuwan, Khambuwan, Koch as Koshi Province against the people’s wishes is also said to be proof of this.
